Drawing and painting has always been a part of my life. I have done commissions since I was about 15, including a commission for my local health centre to commemorate their refurbishment. I have also had some work displayed in my local library. In 2001 I entered the Stockport Open Exhibition where my piece won one of the three prizes.

I mostly draw people, either from photos or real life, because I like the challenge of getting a decent likeness. Recently I have also been working on more abstract pieces, ranging from simple landscapes in vibrant colours to pieces inspired by my other passion - science and astronomy.
